What is included in an interior design package?

The starting point is how you use the home: circulation, furniture placement, storage and the relationship between rooms. Concept layouts establish that structure. Mood boards and a material direction then connect the finishes, colours and pieces to the agreed design.

A package may include 3D visualizations of selected spaces. Agree the rooms, viewpoints and review stages rather than assuming that every corner of the building is included. Images communicate the design; they do not replace dimensioned documentation.

The written drawing list can cover furniture layouts, floor finishes, ceiling and lighting intent, interior elevations and selected joinery details. The information needed depends on the space and how the work will be implemented.

• Identify each drawing and the rooms it covers.
• Confirm material and specification schedules where included.
• Agree PDF, image, presentation and other delivery formats.
• List editable source files explicitly if they are required.
• Define responsibility for measurement and local coordination.

A piece should have an item code, quantity, width, depth, height, material direction and relevant construction details. Seat height, cable access, hardware and finishes may also need decisions before fabrication.

The Villa 06 examples on our furniture page show actual sheets from our coordination package. Millimetres on the sheet are distinguished from centimetres on the product cards. Open dimensions marked TBC are resolved before production; the approved order defines the final specification.

Purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, permits, construction, site supervision, shipping, installation and final as-built information are not automatically included in a design appointment. Their availability, deliverables and responsibilities need to be written into the proposal.
