Bali villa design cost: what shapes your quotation
Plan the full Bali villa brief before asking for a design total: site conditions, rooms, outdoor living and the documents needed for delivery.
Define the villa, not just the land area
In Bali, identify private or rental use, arrival, privacy, wet-weather circulation and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. State whether the appointment covers selected interiors, the whole home or architectural and exterior work as well. Each involves a different set of decisions and documents.
For an existing villa, provide measured plans, photographs and the elements that will remain. Confirm who checks actual conditions and coordinates the information before implementation.
Room complexity shapes the work
A kitchen, bathroom, simple bedroom and bespoke joinery piece do not require the same decisions or drawing coverage. A floor-area total alone does not describe this difference. List the spaces, visualizations, drawings and material decisions required.
Agree the output formats, revisions and specification schedules. Engineering, permits, contractor documents and editable source files need explicit confirmation; they are not implied by the phrase “villa design”.
Design, furniture and site services
You can commission design, furnishing or both. For custom furniture, we define item codes, quantities, dimensions, materials and finishes before fabrication with independent partner workshops. Your proposal identifies the included services; shipping is a separate line.
Bali site follow-up and partner-led construction require a separately defined appointment. Survey, structural and MEP engineering, permits and approvals require confirmation with the relevant local professionals.
Separate the project budget into clear parts
Keep design fees, contractor work, furniture, shipping and installation distinct. This helps you compare alternatives and see which decisions affect each part of the budget. A design quotation is not an estimate for completing the building.
If the villa is delivered in phases, identify priority spaces and decisions that must be resolved early. Revisions after approval may affect drawings, furniture orders or the programme, so agree the change before proceeding.
Information to send
- Project city and exact site or existing-building context.
- Plans, approximate design area and rooms required.
- Private home, rental villa or another intended use.
- Design, furnishing and coordination services needed.
- Reference images, target timing and any fixed constraints.
If you need furniture, include the piece references or codes, quantities and available dimensions. We review the information and tell you what is needed to prepare your proposal.
Before you appoint us
Is there a fixed design price per square metre?
We do not publish a universal design rate. The fee follows the confirmed area, spaces, drawings and level of detail in your written proposal.
Are drawings and source files included?
Your proposal identifies the drawings, visualizations, schedules and delivery formats. Editable source files or additional outputs must be explicitly agreed.
Does the design fee include furniture or construction?
These services are identified separately in the proposal. Furniture shipping is a separate line; engineering, site work and installation need defined responsibilities and scope.
How do I request a quotation?
Share the location, plan, design area, required spaces and services. We review the brief and prepare a written proposal before work starts.
