Bali architect fees: define the design scope

An architectural design appointment can involve site and brief review, planning, exterior design, visualizations and agreed drawings. It does not automatically make one team responsible for survey, engineering, permits, construction or site supervision.

Before appointment, identify the local professionals and consultants required, the documents each prepares, and who coordinates the information. This is particularly useful when you are managing the project from overseas.

• Space and furniture layouts within the agreed brief.
• Material and colour direction, with mood boards where included.
• 3D views for named spaces and viewpoints.
• The agreed plans, elevations, details and specification schedules.
• Review stages, revision allowance, output formats and delivery timing.

Editable source files, additional views and implementation support need explicit confirmation. A visualization is not a substitute for a dimensioned drawing or engineering document.

You can commission design, furnishing or both. For custom furniture, we define item codes, quantities, dimensions, materials and finishes before fabrication with independent partner workshops. Your proposal identifies the included services; shipping is a separate line.

Bali site follow-up and partner-led construction require a separately defined appointment. Survey, structural and MEP engineering, permits and approvals require confirmation with the relevant local professionals.

Put concepts, architectural drawings, interior drawings, visualizations and coordination beside each other. Confirm which stages require your approval, what is issued at each stage and how implementation questions are handled.

The written proposal records the fee, payment currency, taxes, revisions, programme and responsibilities. Additional services and scope changes are reviewed separately; there is no universal architect fee published on this website.
