Fixed, percentage and per-square-metre fees explained.
Fixed fee
Useful when deliverables and assumptions are defined. Changes outside scope should have a clear mechanism.
Percentage fee
Can align the fee with project scale but requires a clear construction-cost definition and treatment of changes.
Per-square-metre or stage fee
These can make early budgeting easier, provided the area basis and included stages are clearly stated.
